IC CHARACTERISTICS:
•CURRENT CANON POINT: Comes during THE STOLEN EARTH, just after Jack leaves the Torchwood Three base to find the Doctor.
•PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Ianto is a young professional in his mid-twenties, about six foot tall with brown hair and blue eyes. He's predisposed towards professional attire, but has a lean, athletic build with an emphasis on strength over muscle definition.
•DEMEANOR: As stated, 'young professional' is his default setting. Never let it be said, however, that he's without charm--it is, in fact, one of his strong suits when it comes to his work and making things happen. At the end of the day, however, he is an 'all or nothing' type...if he's not being exceedingly pleasant and charismatic, he's likely threatening you with violence--and his threats are never empty.
•ABILITIES: Having lived nearly his entire life on top of a rift in spacetime, Ianto doesn't have an explicit supernatural or alien abilities, but parts of his keen intuition and resistance to manipulation could be chalked up to said exposure--such things are not canon explicit, and do not exceed the pinnacle of human ability. His time in Torchwood have given him a proficiency for combat and firearms, xenolinguistics, and exceptional research skils. Previous occupations have also made him an exceptional barista, he's well educated in museum management and the library sciences, and thanks to a ne'er do well childhood he's great at improvising and has been considered by some to be 'light-fingered.'
•OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS: Ianto is very touchy about the people he cares about, as well as how he's perceived--superficial opinions don't matter to him, but being underestimated will usually have...aggressive results. >.> He's also bothered by discussions of alcoholism, rough childhoods, losing partners to terminal illness, and cancer.
